Condolence: Dear Pace family: I was terribly sorry to learn of Steve Pace's death. While I did not have any personal contact with him, I always considered him among the very best of aviation historians. His works were always meticulously researched and carefully written--the hallmarks of a real craftsman and a true historian. The field of aerospace history is much the poorer for his passing. Condolence From: Dennis Pernu

Condolence: Dear Pace Family:

I was Steve's editor at Zenith Press/Voyageur Press. When I first heard of Steve's passing I hoped (against hope apparently) for days that it was just Internet speculation started on one of the aviation message boards. Confirmation received last week came as a huge shock despite the days to prepare for the worst.

I want you to know how great it was to work with Steve. He always carried himself in a friendly, enthusiastic manner. (And, he was always on time!) In fact, just a few weeks back he was bouncing ideas off of me for his next book and sharing photos with us of his beloved Mustang.

Steve will truly be missed by us and we are highly honored to be publishing his last book the fall. He was a great guy to work with.
